INTRODUCTION TO AYURVEDA

                                Ayurveda

Ayurveda is a Sanskrit term that means the science of longevity. The ayuvedic system is a holistic approach to maintaining and regarding health, and it has been practices in India for over five thousands years. It is a science of daily living that includes a vast library of knowledge on physical exercise, nutrition, herbology, pharmacology, massage even surgery, psychology, and meditation.
Ayurvedic techniques are designed to establish and maintain balance in the body and mind, and therefore prevent dis-ease and prolong a healthy life. Practitioners of Ayurveda assess the conditions of the individual as a whole and match their recommendations to each individual’s unique constitution and temperament.
