1000 petal lotus massage

Also know as Indian Head Massage can help to lift you out of the hustle and bustle of everyday stressful living.
Massage is an important part of the ancient ayurvedic medical system, and has long been part of everyday life in India for over a thousand years. The Indian head massage includes upper back, scalp, face and ears, combined with chakra (energy-center) balancing. It was originally used by women who found it helped to keep their long hair thick, healthy and in beautiful condition.

Indian Head massage provides relief from a number of ailments including:

  • Tension headaches
  • Eyestrain
  • Aches and pains in the neck and shoulder area
  • Insomnia
  • Many other stress and work related symptoms

Those who depend on computers in the office or at home, may find this treatment is the ideal way to release all tension, strains and frustrations that can build up after hours in front of a screen.

Indian Head massage brings with it other benefits:

  • Encourages hair growth
  • Soothes and Comforts
  • Re-balances your energy flow
  • Promotes a deep sense of peace, calm and tranquility

During a session the head, neck and shoulders - all energy centers where tension is most likely to accumulate - are gently, firmly and rhythmically massaged until the pressure begins simply to melt away. You can depend on Indian head massage to effectively ease that feeling of pressure, which can so easily increase throughout the day. This de-stressing massage, received before an important meeting, interview or exam, leaves you feeling relaxed yet alert and able to produce your best work without feeling tense or tired. It is superb for imparting a feeling of well being before any social occasion.

A session normally takes between 25 and 30 minutes. It is a wonderful treatment to add to a facial, massage or body treatment.

Saying Goodbye

In the last 6 months I have had experiences in my life were I had to say goodbye. There are always births and death that come with life. Life is always changing nothing ever stays the same. As our planets moves so does our lives. We must realize that we need to dance with this change observe and learn.

Yesterday I took a walk in Point Pleasant Park. Walking up the hill I could see these grey dead trees that were standing over the lush green foliage. I was reminded of Hurricane juan that happened there many years ago. It was a devastation these trees were obviously the dead survivors. Looking at the scene currently you would have never known that there was any kind of trauma that happened there. Lost of plants and flowered bushes were present.

The Planet takes care of itself and of us. Time can heal creating something new and beautiful. Sometimes we should look at Nature to teach us these lessons. Our Ego's ( negative voice in our heads) wants us to stay stuck trying to have some sort of control of endings but that is never possible and we never learn the lesson. Saying goodbye to old feelings and emotions are ways to release ourselves from burdens. We need to forgive ourselves and others holding on to resentment is like continually drinking a poison.

Saying goodbye to loved ones is one of the hardest thing to do in life. What I have learned recently is loved ones even in death never really go away. You can always reach them in your heart and cherish the life that that being had on the planet.
Letting go and observing my ego has made me aware that we are all love and our pain can sometimes reflect onto others.

Observe the negative voice (EGO) and see if it is really true. It is only with awareness that you can observe negative talk and turn it into positive. Goodbye negative, hello love and bliss.

Have a good day!

The Chakras

The Chakras
The body’s anatomy is made of many systems Skeletal, digestive, endocrine, nervous, are a few. One system that is overlooked in western society is the energetic system “chi” in Asian medicine, “prana” in Indian medicine it has been studied over 4 thousand years ago. Just like a home runs with a power source our bodies also run on energy at a much lower current.

The word Chakra is derived from Sanskrit meaning ‘wheel’ or “disk”. The seven major chakras are located along the spine starting at the base up to the crown of your head.  There’s also smaller chakras found in the hands, feet and shoulders Each Chakras is a spinning wheel  “vortex” of energy that found in the body.

You feel your chakras when you get the nervous butterflies in your belly. The feeling you get in your heart when you fall in love. When you have the urge to speak but you have an apple in your throat. These are ways your body expresses itself. These experiences are felt through your chakras. When someone says: “I feel it in my heart” your not feeling it in your brain, you’re feeling these emotions in your heart chakra.

Most of your chakra’s are develop from the moment of conception until adolescence. There locations correspond to the central nerve ganglia branching out from the spinal column.
You can picture the Chakra as a disc of information collected through your life. Each disc controls different aspects: Our posture, how we are able to manifest in our lives, how we reacted to things in life are influenced by our chakras programming. Learning about the Chakras will make you more aware of yourself and what is programmed.
We will be looking at how our nutrition affects each Chakra. Food is energy and what we eat resonate with our body. Some of our food choices make our body thrive or can deplete us.
