The Chakras

The Chakras
The body’s anatomy is made of many systems Skeletal, digestive, endocrine, nervous, are a few. One system that is overlooked in western society is the energetic system “chi” in Asian medicine, “prana” in Indian medicine it has been studied over 4 thousand years ago. Just like a home runs with a power source our bodies also run on energy at a much lower current.

The word Chakra is derived from Sanskrit meaning ‘wheel’ or “disk”. The seven major chakras are located along the spine starting at the base up to the crown of your head.  There’s also smaller chakras found in the hands, feet and shoulders Each Chakras is a spinning wheel  “vortex” of energy that found in the body.

You feel your chakras when you get the nervous butterflies in your belly. The feeling you get in your heart when you fall in love. When you have the urge to speak but you have an apple in your throat. These are ways your body expresses itself. These experiences are felt through your chakras. When someone says: “I feel it in my heart” your not feeling it in your brain, you’re feeling these emotions in your heart chakra.

Most of your chakra’s are develop from the moment of conception until adolescence. There locations correspond to the central nerve ganglia branching out from the spinal column.
You can picture the Chakra as a disc of information collected through your life. Each disc controls different aspects: Our posture, how we are able to manifest in our lives, how we reacted to things in life are influenced by our chakras programming. Learning about the Chakras will make you more aware of yourself and what is programmed.
We will be looking at how our nutrition affects each Chakra. Food is energy and what we eat resonate with our body. Some of our food choices make our body thrive or can deplete us.
