AYURVEDIC QUESTIONNAIRE





Now that I've introduce Ayurveda to you here is a wonderful questionnaire to asses your Dosha and to see were your imbalances are. Ayurveda takes into account your physical mental and spiritual state. Most commonly were your totals are highest in imbalance that reflect your constitution. We are all born a specific constitution which is determined from conception which is called (prakruti) this can change due to our environment. Doshas are the description of a constitution. 

Vata represents Ether and Air. Pitta represents Fire and Water. Kapha represents Water and Earth. It is common to be dominant in one or more not so common is tri-doshic but it is very possible but hard to balance.   

( I just found out that I am tri-doshic as my prakruti which is probably why I have such a hard time trying to balance my consitution. This means that my parents were dominant in the three dosha ex: Mother Kapha and Father Vata-Pitta I inherited all 3. I am not sure what their doshas are but that is what I would guess LOL! Discovering this I try to follow the season and the dosha that dominates that season)

Fall/winter: Vata
Winter/spring: Kapha  
spring/ Summer: Pitta

In each of us reside the elements Ether, Air, Fire, Water and Earth. To discover which elements predominate in your constitution, mark the characteristics that pertain to you the most.

  1. Hey cuz! Very interesting blog. I. just completed the questionnaire and got the following results: V-6, P-5, K-7, although two answers in P were between V & P. So what does all this mean?

  2. Hey Pam!
    I am glad you took the questionnaire. All your numbers are very close together I would say that you are K but it can also shift with the seasons for you.
    You should answer the questions on how you feel that day.
    I will be posting more about each of the dosha's and recommended nutrition for each in the next following weeks!
